o.b. Silk Ease Regular Tampons
o.b. Silk Ease Regular Tampons, 20-count box
Pricier version of the original ~
I had already been a big fan of OB tampons even before they came out with this new variant. I don’t know if it’s just me, but I can’t really feel much difference between this new Silk Ease and the original version, except for the steeper price.
I suppose if I had the disposable income I’d upgrade to this permanently, in the same way I’d switch to fancier toilet paper or silkier bed sheets once I can afford to. But I’m on a limited budget and the original version works perfectly for me already.
My review of the original, more affordable version, o.b. Regular Absorbency Tampons, 40-count box:
After my first stab (!) at using OB in my late teens, I never went back to using tampons with applicators, except for one time when I was staying at an older relative’s house and all she could offer were old-style tampons. OBs are easy to insert and more convenient to stash in your purse or even a small wallet.
This variant in the pink packaging is the lowest level of absorbency designed for light menstrual flow. But even when it’s not my period, I use it in lieu of a pantyliner. I realize that’s not recommended because it might dry you out too much and/or make you susceptible to Toxic Shock Syndrome, but I’ve always been a bad girl.
