Okami Spicy California Rolls

Fully Cooked Spicy California Rolls made by the company Okami, whose tagline is The “Anytime” Meal
8 pieces in a plastic tray. Spicy Surimi Crab Salad rolled in roasted seaweed, wrapped in seasoned rice, topped with toasted sesame seeds.
I had this for lunch and totally enjoyed it. Pronounced it absolutely delicious. Good thing I didn’t read the ingredients list beforehand. I get totally freaked out with anything that looks this complicated.
INGREDIENTS: RICE (rice, water, sugar, rice vinegar, salt), IMITATION CRAB (pollock and/or whiting, water, wheat starch, sugar, egg whites, corn starch, sorbitol, contains 2% or less of the following: salt, modified food starch, natural and artificial flavors, soybean oil, sodium tripolyphosphate, tetrasodium pyrophosphate, paprika, color added), MAYONNAISE (soybean oil, water, egg yolks, distilled vinegar, contains less than 2% of high fructose corn syrup, salt, spices, citric acid, calcium disodium EDTA to protect flavor, natural flavor), CHILI SAUCE (red chili, sugar, salt, garlic, fish extract, lactic acid, acetic acid, ascorbic acid), SESAME OIL, PAPRIKA, SEAWEED, SESAME SEEDS.
3 CONDIMENTS: (not one of which I consumed)
LITE SOY SAUCE (water, wheat, soybeans, salt, lactic acid, sodium benzoate, less than 1/10 of 1% as a preservative)
WASABI (water, horseradish, rapeseed oil, citric acid, spirulina, mustard extract)
GINGER (ginger, water, salt, sugar, acetic acid, citric acid, malic acid).
ALLERGENS: contains fish (pollock and/or whiting, anchovies extract) wheat, eggs, soy, sesame seeds and is manufactured in a facility that may process products containing milk and tree nuts [grammatically correct?]

It turns out Okami is “the nation’s leading manufacturer of shelf-stable packaged sushi.” And for the sushi to be stable on the shelf, you do need preservatives and such.
Anyway, I bought this at Trader Joe’s today, and I have such faith in TJ’s that I’m sure they will not sell something that is harmful to your health. Like I said, I took great pleasure in savoring those eight large morsels for lunch.
Only later did I inspect the receipt and found the price to be just $2.99 ~
